Local Tournament Director is Elected to USA Racquetball Board of Directors

Mike Wedel, tournament director for The Athletic Club of Overland Park was recently elected to the USA Racquetball Board of Directors. Mike has been involved with the Athletic Club for 10 years in various aspects. To be elected, Mike had to meet several requirements and was up against 48 other candidates from across the country. Candidates had to possess great communication skills and a strong work ethic. Mike has proven to possess both with his many years of experience in both business and sports. Another requirement required the signatures of 200 USA Racquetball members who would like the candidate to be added to the list of potential appointees. May 21st is our Overland Park Pool Party!!

Join us for a summer kick-off on May 21st at our Overland Park Pool Party! Come visit us on Thursday, May 21st from 4:30-8:30 PM to help us celebrate the bubble around the pool coming down! The Athletic Club will be pairing up with a local non-profit, Stop Thirst Now, for the summer kick-off. They aim to raise money for people in third world countries that are in desperate need of clean drinking water.
