Sleep and Exercise. Can the Two Be Related?

Do you want to wake up and feel rested and refreshed?
Ditch your sleeping pills! Exercise is a safer method for gaining good rest.

Exercise, Sleep, Diet and Stress Management are the four pillars of good health and wellness. It is important to make sure you are balancing these pillars for a healthy, productive life. A balanced lifestyle includes a vitamin-rich diet, functional stress relief, a deep sleep, and a mild exercise routine.

Physical activity can help improve sleep quality. As little as ten minutes of walking can improve your quality of sleep! There a few tips to keep in mind when trying to decide on whether to hit the sack or go work up a sweat.

  • 7 to 8 hours of complete sleep? Hit the gym!
  • Get to bed earlier if you have been getting less than 6 hours of sleep
  • Skipped sleep? Skip the workout! Your coordination will suffer and your workout will feel harder. You are also at a higher risk of injury in this condition
