It’s no secret that the perfect song can give you that extra push on your workout at Overland Park Gym, The Athletic Club! In fact, the right song can not only help you kick up your pace, it can also help by triggering areas of the brain linked to positive feelings that can result in a speedier recovery! How cool is that?
Music can also help to create the perfect pace. You should aim to listen to songs with beats per minute that match the heart rate and speed you hope to achieve.
Often when you feel like giving up, your favorite pump-up song can push you to keep going. Music is a way to distract you from the task at hand. It can even make that dreaded exercise seem fun!
For exercises like yoga and Pilates, you will want to switch it up and play some more relaxing music. This will increase your focus and create a calming effect.
Tip: Create a workout playlist so you don’t have to keep changing/finding songs, which can cause you to get out of your workout groove!
